If you have a stutter, you aren’t alone. It’s common for children first learning to speak to stutter, but sometimes it can continue even after childhood. Most of the time, children will grow out of it after the age of 5 or 6. However, 25% of children continue to stutter after childhood. About 3 million Americans deal with stuttering, but there are ways to help reduce it. You can try slowing down when you speak, articulation, or one of SpeechEasy’s electronic speech devices.

During your first appointment, your SpeechEasy Provider will work with you to decide which is most appropriate for you. We can also set up a payment plan that can help you get your device sooner. There are four different model types so you can have the freedom to choose which one fits best with you and your lifestyle.

How they work

Our devices alter sounds as they go through the device, so the wearer hears their voice at a slight delay and different pitch. This creates a phenomenon called the “choral effect.” This occurs when your stutter is reduced or even eliminated when you speak. It has been well documented for decades, and we made it possible with a sleek design in a small device with the ability to be used daily.

SpeechEasy – Electronic Speech Devices
